What do you think about vending machines? They sell various sodas, Coke, and sometimes energy drinks.
However, can you imagine that there are so many unique types of vending machines in my country? Because the vending machine technology in Japan is at a high level, for example, they have features to keep products warm or cold.
This time, let us suggest my ranking of the most unique vending machines in Japan!
My ranking for the Vending Machines
3rd Oden vending machine
The Oden vending machine, featuring Japanese-style stew, is located in Akihabara.
Thanks for the function that keeps products warm or cold. So, you don’t need to worry like (the soup became cold, didn’t it?).
OK. Let us go to the area and challenge it!

The taste was good! But we felt a little expensive. (300 yen. Which is about 3 dollars.)
2nd Canned bread vending machine
Do you think the bread is always on trays? Let us introduce this machine. It is a Canned bread vending machine.
The machine has been on several occasions, such as at Tokyo Station and in the Kichijoji area.
OK. Let us report on the uniqueness. In this case, we visited the Kichijoji area.

The conclusion is NOT SO BAD.
It was just the bread seasoned with strawberry flavor. The feature is that you can keep the quality as long as it is in a can. This one would last for three years unless it opened. We thought they could be good as an evacuation food.
1st!!!! INSECT FOOD!!!!
They don’t stop to take evolution. However, just a few people would consume that one.
Behold! It is the vending machine for INCECT FOOD!
It is in the Kichijouzi area again. You can also choose what type of insects you want. That machine has crickets, silkworms, water bags, and even tarantulas!!
Alright, let us try.

Its taste is, to be honest, FINE.
That is like a hard rice cracker. We did not feel any taste till we chewed it many times. Strangely, the smell is not so bad. Our nose catches only the soy or sauce flavor.
In conclusion!
Surprisingly, all of them were good. We discovered that they could also be preserved foods. They would last, at least, for three years or more.
On the other hand, they could be a good supply at any party time.
Thank you so much for reading this article! When you have the chance to visit our country, take a moment to check out some of the vending machines. You would perhaps discover more interesting products in vending machines!
Oh, do not be harsh! Our blog still has four topics about Japanese uniqueness.
They are about the Japanese lifestyle, food, the Edo era, and religions!
Please try them!
